Carry a Baby Beat World 1
Biome-by-biome route for the first Carry a Baby badge after Welcome.
World 1 is the real tutorial. Welcome is free. Complete World 1 sits near a 21 percent earn rate, which means four out of five visitors never finish grass, snow, and desert as a pair. This walkthrough is the route those four are missing. Play it with the how to protect habits already in your mouth: park, crawl, button, wait, pick up.
You need a parent and a baby on the same server. Read getting started if you have not welded yet. Do not open World 2 from this page. The portal after the maze is a trap for duos who think the desert was the hard part.
Grass
Grass is the wide green kit from the thumbnails. Early cribs teach the split: parent cannot fit, baby crawls, button extends a bridge. Lasers appear as thin red volumes. The baby goes under or around; the parent waits. Swinging axes are parent jumps with a full cart. Jump the gap at the far side of the swing, not the near side. If you land early, the axe returns into the stroller.
Cacti and spiky floor show up as the biome warms. The parent takes those. The baby stays sat. Logs that float need short hops. Holding jump swings the cart and ejects the rider — creators complain about this on the first grass river. Tap. If the baby pops out, stop moving and re-sit before the next log.
Snow
Snowballs and snowmen are the tell. Visibility drops and the floor gets slipperier in feel even when friction is the same. Keep the pink or default cart here if you own a grey C-tier recolor; white-on-white is how you lose the baby in a 10-player crowd. See stroller ranks if you are shopping between attempts.
Buttons in snow still sit in baby-sized holes. The parent should call “park” before the hole, not after they have already walked past it. Teleport prompts that pull the parent across a gap need a full stop. Walking during the teleport is the most common snow wipe.
Desert and the maze
Desert is the last theme before the World 1 portal. Heat haze is cosmetic. The maze is not. The baby enters. The parent waits outside. Pick one wall and follow it until you find the button. Brazilian and English creators both mention the same-side maze trick. It is slower than guessing and it always exits.
When the button fires, the parent’s gate opens. Do not celebrate in the maze. Crawl back or use the designed exit, sit, and roll to the portal. The prompt will say you completed World 1 and can teleport to World 2. Take the badge screenshot. Then decide, as a pair, whether you are actually ready.
Checkpoints and revives
Checkpoints in World 1 are easy to miss. Do not assume every biome start is a save. If you void on grass after snow, you may be back further than you think. Revive prompts exist on some fails. Reviving into the same axe pattern without a new callout wastes the 15-minute average session. Swap roles instead using the players hub if the jumper is tired.
Party size and pad etiquette
Ten players means multiple duos on the same grass. Do not steal a crib tile while another baby is crawling. Do not park your gold cart on the maze entrance. If a stranger’s parent is AFK, you still cannot solo their baby morph. Stay with your weld. The duo checklist has a lobby line for this.
After the badge
Complete World 1 is the first real flex. Complete World 2 is the rare one. Read the World 2 walkthrough before you click the portal. Buy Pirate only after this badge if you still want the shop — the tier list can wait. If you died to a specific trap family, open how to protect and jump to that heading instead of replaying the whole biome on instinct.
World 1 is designed so a talking duo finishes it in one sitting. Silent duos farm the 21 percent fail. Call every crib. That is the walkthrough.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for parents, babies, and duo teams.
How long is World 1?
Most talking duos finish inside a typical 15-minute session. Mazes take longer if the baby guesses instead of hugging a wall.
Where is the World 1 button?
At the end of the baby maze in the last biome. Follow one wall. Details above, plus baby role.
Does World 1 need a special stroller?
No. Default is enough. Shop after the badge with stroller ranks.
Should we go to World 2 immediately?
Only if both of you want lava. Read the World 2 walkthrough first.
