Getting Started in Carry a Baby

Getting Started

Carry a Baby is already live on Roblox. You do not wait for a launch; you wait for a friend. The loop is short on paper: pick a role, weld the baby into a stroller, walk an obby, press the buttons the parent cannot reach. The first ten minutes are where most duos waste a server. This guide is that lobby, in order.

Join from the official experience, not a copy with a similar crying-baby thumbnail. Server size is 10. You will share pads. Voice chat is not supported, so type or use an external call. Camera is not supported either — you are playing an R6 morph obby, not a face-tracking toy.

Pick a role on purpose

The lobby has separate teleporters for baby and parent. Standing on the wrong pad is the first fail. If both of you become babies, nobody pushes. If both of you become parents, nobody fits the crawl tunnels. Decide in chat, then walk. Role theory lives on the parent and baby pages; the short version is: the confident jumper should parent first, the patient crawler should baby first. You can swap after World 1.

The baby avatar is small. The world looks bigger. Jump height is worse. Crawl is the feature, not a bug. The parent keeps adult movement and a stroller weld. Official thumbnails show the baby launching out of the cart — that is a joke pose, not the physics you want mid-obby.

Weld before you run

After morphs load, the parent grabs the default cart and the baby sits. Wait until the sit is stable. If the baby is crying in the carrier, that is flavor, not a death flag; several creators note the baby does not fall out of a parked cart as easily as it looks. Still, do not sprint off the pad the frame the sit starts. The controls page lists sit, jump, and crawl inputs for PC and mobile.

Skip the shop. Pirate and pink carts are cosmetics. Rank them later on the stroller tier list. Your first badge is Welcome, which is free the moment you play. Your second badge is Complete World 1. Coins spent before you understand crib tiles are coins you will not notice on the grass course.

First obstacles you will actually see

World 1 opens on grass. Typical first asks:

  • Park the baby on a crib / tile gap so they can crawl to a button.
  • The baby presses the button and a bridge or door opens for the parent.
  • The parent crosses, picks the baby back up, and continues.
  • Lasers, swinging axes, floating logs, and snowballs show up as themes change.

If a prompt says the baby will teleport you, believe it. Stand still. A parent who keeps walking desyncs the teleport and eats a void. That pattern repeats through snow and desert. The World 1 walkthrough is the full route; this page only exists so you do not rage-quit on the first crib.

How to talk during the first run

Use short calls: “park,” “crawl,” “button,” “wait,” “pick up.” Do not narrate the joke. The baby cannot see parent-only jumps; the parent cannot see the inside of a maze. If you queued with a random, paste a link to the duo checklist and play anyway. Average session length is about 15 minutes. That is enough for grass plus snow if you do not open the shop twice.

Dying is expected. Some sections offer a revive prompt. Reviving into the same trap without changing roles is how you burn 20 minutes on one laser. Swap using the players hub advice, or reset to lobby and take the other teleporter. World 2 can wait until Complete World 1 is on the account.

After the first clear

Teleporting to World 2 is a separate decision. The badge earn rate collapses from about 21 percent to about 2 percent. Read how to protect and the World 2 walkthrough before you click the portal. If you still have coins, then visit stroller ranks. If a code ever exists, redeem it in the lobby with how to redeem, never on a moving log.

You now know the shape of the game: two morphs, one weld, shared traps, two worlds. The rest of the guides hub is detail. Play the first grass stretch once with this page open, then put the phone down and call the next trap out loud.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for parents, babies, and duo teams.

Can I play Carry a Baby without a friend?

The intended mode is online co-op. Two accounts on one machine work. See roles if you are swapping windows.

Which role should a beginner pick?

Put the stronger jumper on parent for World 1. Swap after the badge using baby role notes.

Do I need to buy a stroller first?

No. Default is enough. Shop after World 1 with the stroller tier list.

Where did the baby go?

Check crawl tunnels and crib tiles. If they voided, revive or reset together. How to protect covers pickups.
