Carry a Baby Beat World 2
The 2 percent badge: lava, tighter welds, and why you should not rush the portal.
World 2 is optional in mood and brutal in numbers. Complete World 1 is a challenging badge. Complete World 2 is listed as insane, with an earn rate around 2 percent. The portal after World 1 will always tempt you. This walkthrough is the argument for waiting until your duo can park on command.
You should already have: a stable weld, crib-tile discipline from how to protect, and one World 1 clear using the World 1 walkthrough. If you do not, go back. World 2 does not teach those skills. It tests them over lava.
Lava is the theme, not the only trap
The first World 2 reads are orange floors and pits. Falling is a full reset more often than a cute bounce. Parents jump as if the cart is heavy even when it is not — the extra camera swing is enough to miss a 2-stud lip. Tap jumps. The controls page is still the input sheet; World 2 just punishes sloppy thumbs harder.
Boulder cycles show up in creator footage as timed runs. Wait for the rock to pass, then take the first safe pocket, then the second. Do not “test” a boulder. World 2 is a bad laboratory. If your partner is still in the shop buying gold, they are not ready — cosmetics are ranked on the stroller tier list, not on lava.
Role strain
Babies still crawl. Tunnels still exist. The difference is the cost of a wrong prompt. Teleporting a parent who is mid-jump drops them in lava. Press buttons only on a “wait” call. Parents still pick up. If the baby stands on a hot tile “for a second,” that second is the wipe. The baby role and parent role pages matter more here than in grass.
Swap if World 1 burned one player. A tired jumper on parent is the usual World 2 fail. Reset to lobby teleporters, remorph, re-weld, then take the World 2 portal as a fresh pair. Do not swap mid-lava.
Revives are a trap
Some fails offer revive. In World 2 that button is how duos burn another ten minutes on the same boulder. Use it once if the fail was a misclick. If the fail was “we cannot read the cycle,” leave. Watch one clip, read this page again, and requeue. Badge earn rates this low are not because people refuse to revive. They are because people revive into the same pattern.
Server noise
Ten-player worlds get messier in lava because bodies and carts block pockets. Let the other duo take a boulder wave. Your badge does not require you to pass them. Griefing with a script in this world is how you get reported and still miss the badge. Play clean. The duo checklist has a line for letting other teams through.
Finish line habits
When the last button is down, sit before you celebrate. World 2 wipes at the door are famous in 2-player obbies. Weld, walk, then screenshot Complete World 2. That badge is the rare one. It is also the end of the current published route. There is no official World 3 in the badge list. If a future patch adds one, the changelog will say so. Until then, you are done.
Spend leftover coins on Pirate if you want the lobby flex. Then help a friend through World 1 instead of injecting a skip. The guides hub is the better encore than the scripts hub.
World 2 is shorter in biomes and longer in concentration. Talk more, jump less, and treat every crawl as a button that can kill your parent. That is the whole insane badge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for parents, babies, and duo teams.
Do I need World 1 before World 2?
Yes. Earn Complete World 1 first with the World 1 walkthrough, then take the portal.
Why do we keep dying on lava?
Held jumps and late pickups. Rehearse the how to protect park-and-crawl loop on grass, then come back.
Is there a World 3?
Not in the current badge list. Watch the updates hub if a patch adds a third world.
Can a script finish World 2?
No safe, verified loader is listed. See scripts and play it as a duo.
